The Best RPG of All Time

!±8± The Best RPG of All Time

When Baldur's Gate came out in 1998, I was a middle school kid introduced to it by watching my dad play it. Baldur's Gate, for me, is the epitome of what a medieval fantasy role-playing game should be. I personally enjoy when a game, such as Baldur's Gate, starts the player out with little more than a stick and a few gold coins. Nothing is more fun than running around an area and picking up everything imaginable just so when I sell all the junk I found I can afford a decent piece of chain mail.

One of the best parts about the game is the sheer freedom allowed for the player to explore the areas of the game and detour from the main story. It also gave you choices in what kind of character you wanted to be, whether good, evil, or somewhere in between. Seldom games prior to Baldur's Gate that had this level of freedom; most were very linear, which limited the player in terms of choice and exploration.

Baldur's Gate also introduced new players to the Dungeons and Dragons role-playing system by taking those same core rules and putting them in a game. Players could experience what a pen and paper D&D game was like but in a much more user friendly way. I personally never got into the old D&D game because 1) I wasn't born in 1975 and 2) I don't have the attention span to play pen and paper games. So BG allowed younger gamers to experience the old system with a lot less work.

But it wasn't just revolutionizing role-playing games that put Baldur's Gate on the top of my list, it's because BG excels in every category: beautifully pre-rendered settings makes exploration a treat, an engaging storyline that creates the need to find out what happens next, and again, the sheer number of things you can do and how what choices you make can effect the outcome of every situation.

When I say Baldur's Gate I mean the entire series: BG1, BG2, and Throne of Bhaal. If you are going to play one, you need to play them all to experience the story in its entirety. Places like Amazon and Ebay are good places to find copies in good condition, mainstream stores won't carry them.

As I write this I wonder if there will ever be another game that so beautifully captures the essence of the medieval fantasy genre like Baldur's Gate, with complex characters, exciting battles, engaging quests, all amid gorgeous scenery. Of course I know realize that the answer is yes, and that game will be Baldur's Gate 3.

Since the newest games from Electronic Arts, Sims Medieval has just been released on the market one can only imagine the excitement the Sims fans are feeling. The scenario was completely changed and now the players have to start their journey by choosing an ambition and one of the ten brand new hero classes. This is why there is no wonder that the players that embark in this medieval adventure will want to at least test out the new heroes before they decide on a main character. However, since many of them do not want to lose their current progress, one way they can try out each hero and even play all of them at the same time is with the help of the Sims Medieval cheats.

Most players will most likely want to have all of the available hero classes when they are unlocking certain achievements, especially those that cannot make up their minds about the type of hero they want to play. Normally, when introducing a certain cheat, players will simply have to type "help" to obtain a full list of the Sims Medieval cheats, unlike the previous Sims versions when the cheats had to be enabled first. Unfortunately, for now you cannot find the cheat code that enables a player to play all ten heroes at the same time.

However, players that are interested in playing with more than their character have the possibility of playing all the heroes they like without the help of Sims Medieval cheats. One method to play more than one hero is simply following the story line, as Sims Medieval has certain quests where you will have to use more than one hero and thus, you can control your characters so they can act as a team. Furthermore, later on as you progress through the game you will find a free time quest that will introduce a "switch sim" button above the portrait of your current hero. Clicking that button will allow a player to play and switch between all ten heroes of the game.

The catch to keeping all the heroes you have used in your previous quests is to enable the "showallquests" cheat. Keep in mind that this is one of the Sims Medieval cheats that has not been perfected yet because you will need to follow a quest that does not have any objectives afterwards. In addition, you will not be able to play all of them at the same time, however you have the options of switching between them, a command that only takes a couple of seconds.

Fallout 3 has been almost a month now, and only released for the game last night I thought I'd write my thoughts on the game rather than a real evaluation. Oh by the way, I actually finished the game a little 'too fast, I still have tons of quests and unexplored places to check, I just do not look to finish so quickly. Still, I would say that more than 20 hours, spent by some of the sub-quests along the road.

Developed by Bethesda Game StudiosFallout 3 is very similar to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but this time the story takes place in a post-apocalyptic United States in the year 2277 held in the medieval period. How to fight your way through the use of weapons most of the time and occasionally, weapons such as swords, baseball bats and clubs. Graphicwise Oblivion looked amazing as we think, say his confidence that Fallout 3 looks even better because I feel in a post-apocalyptic world withalmost all are in rubble, ash and more than 50% of the time the discovery of underground places. Do not see why it should still be given a more than two years has been published.

Let us forget the graphics for a second, I still prefer Oblivion to Fallout 3, because the period of the history plays. I prefer modern future, when you back in time and also the weapon of choice in the Magic. So if you do not have these preferences, and you've played Oblivion firstthen it is very safe to say, do you like Fallout 3 safe. What I like Fallout 3 is the fact that there is a VAT system, which allows you to target specific body parts, tells the percentage of success. At first when I saw the trailer shows this system, I thought it would be overwhelmed for a feature. I can assure you it is not because the exhaust system of AP (Action Points), so that you can not really be used over and over again in a short periodAP to AP without reloading your items healing. Normally you must wait for AP to re-grow naturally. It might be a bit 'overwhelming characteristic when playing in easy mode easy. If you play in the hardest difficulty, you need this element in the fight against multiple opponents.

So I guess my point really depends if you are at this moment or not, provided they played and enjoyed Oblivion. Fallout 3 is a must for you ifShe liked it and have no preferences or in the future tense or are modern and / or if you prefer the Magic weapons.

I hope this article will not get to decide on this game or not. And I always wonder if there will be a version of Oblivion or Fallout MMO in the future either.
